What it is for

A 3-inch cube with a halo, for the bar or the bumper of something that works after dark. Forty watts of Osram behind a flood, spot or combo optic, 3,200 lumens, sealed to IP68 and backed by five years. It runs 12 to 24 volts, so one part number covers a 12V ute and a 24V truck.

E-Mark certified to ECE R10 — no radio or CAN-bus interference. That matters on a modern vehicle, where an auxiliary lamp sharing a loom with the body computer can put noise onto the bus and set off faults nobody can trace back to the light. It is an approval for how the lamp behaves electrically, not for the beam it throws; what it covers and what it does not is set out under Certification below.

The TC-SS40 is the other 3-inch 40W cube on this line: 6,000 lumens, 400 metres, no halo and no approval of any kind. Take this one where the halo earns its place or the vehicle is fussy about electrical noise, and the TC-SS40 where raw output is the whole job.

Questions buyers ask

What voltage does the TC-W40C run on?
12–24V DC, so one part number covers 12V 4WDs and 24V trucks without a converter.
How far does the beam actually reach?
350 metres to the 1-lux point — the industry convention for beam distance. That is the distance at which you can still pick out an obstacle, not the distance at which you can read a number plate.
Which LED does it use, and why does that matter?
Osram emitters. Branded emitters hold their output and colour over thousands of hours; unbranded chips typically lose a visible chunk of brightness inside the first season, which is where cheap lights get their reputation.
Is it sealed well enough for water crossings?
Rated IP68. Mount it where it will see spray, dust and pressure washing.
What is covered by the warranty?
5 years against manufacturing defects, from date of shipment.
Do you supply dealers and workshops?
Yes. Volume pricing, OEM packaging and marketing assets are available for 4WD shops and distributors. Tell us your market and typical order size and we will come back with terms.

This is an electromagnetic compatibility approval. It is not a photometric or beam-pattern approval, and it does not make the lamp road-legal as a driving or work light in any market — that is a separate approval under a different regulation, and we do not hold one for this model.
